Dr. Ryan has authored and co-authored many public policy reports, conference papers and academic articles relating to diverse projects, including Why Some Venture Capitalists Escalate And Others Don’t, Managing the Psychology of Fear and Terror, and The Psychology of Microfinance. Following the publication of her book, Magic Carpet Flying (2010), Dr. Ryan maintains strong ties to academia as a Fellow at the University of South Australia’s Hawke Centre, and the Centre for Australian Studies at the University of Texas at Austin.

Dr. Ryan has also made countless public interviews on radio and television,(including 60 Minutes: The Australian, The Financial Review, ABC Television, Al Jazeera English), presentations and keynote addresses, including a “Newsmaker Briefing” at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.

Dr. Ryan has also substantially contributed to the conception and production of four documentary films: Without Prejudice, Beyond Fear: Finding Hope in the Horror and Beyond Beliefs, which have been screened in parliaments, schools, film festivals, public screenings and on national television programs around the world.
